SOP on Cleaning of Dehumidifier

1. Objective : To describe the cleaning procedure for Dehumidifier.

2. Scope : To ensure that the equipment is clean.

3. Responsibility:

3.1 It is the responsibility of maintenance staff to clean the equipment.

3.2 Production Chemist to ensure that procedure is followed.

4. Materials & Equipment :

4.1 Cleaning agent: Teepol or liquid soap.

4.2 Mops / brush / lint-free cloth

5. Procedure

5.1 Switch Off the mains of the de-humidifier.

5.2 Open the cover of the dehumidifier from the back side.

5.3 Take out the water tray and drain water from it.

5.4 Clean water tray with tap water.

5.5 Clean suction and blower units.

5.6 Clean the whole body of the dehumidifier from inside and outside with a clean cloth soaked in water followed by a dry cloth.

5.7 Re-place the water collecting tray and close the cover of the dehumidifier from the backside.
