SOP on Operation of Spray Gun (for Coating)
1.0 Purpose: This document describes the procedure for operation of Spray Gun used in coating of tablets.
2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff.
3.0 Responsibility: Quality Control Chemist and production chemist to ensure that procedure is followed.
4.0 Materials and Equipment:
As required.
5.0 Procedure:
5.01 Check and ensure the cleanliness of the spray gun.
5.02 Connect the compressed air to the spray gun.
5.03 Pour the coating solution into a spray gun cup.
5.04 Adjust the flow rate of the coating solution.
5.05 Fit the spray gun on its stand and start spraying the solution.
5.06 After completion of coating process, clean the spray gun as per SOP.
