SOP on Release of Finished Goods
1.0 Purpose: This SOP describes the procedure to be followed for release of finished goods.
2.0 Scope: This SOP is applicable to all finished products sampled by Quality Control Chemist and after their approval release for sale and distribution in market.
3.0 Responsibility: Quality Control Chemist / Production Chemist are responsible to follow this procedure.
4.0 Materials and Equipment: As & when required.
5.0 Procedure:
5.1 Quality Control Chemist collects random sample from the packed batch of finished product for complete analysis as per specifications for finished product.
5.2 After complete analysis, if the product complies with specifications Quality Control Laboratory issues a certificate of analysis that the batch conforms to the specified standards for the product.
5.3 After getting approval from the Quality Control Laboratory, Production Chemist completes a release order mentioning all details like Product name, B.No., M/D, E/D, MRP, and quantity for release.
5.4 After completing release order, it is submitted to Quality Assurance Department for release of finished product along with complete batch production records for verification prior to release.
5.5 Quality Assurance Manager verifies all production records and signs the release order of finished product for transfer of released batch to finished goods store for dispatch and sale in market.
