SOP on Shift end cleaning of labelling machine
1.0 Purpose: This SOP describes the procedure for cleaning of labelling machine.
2.0 Scope: This SOP is applicable to labelling machine.
3.0 Responsibility: It is the responsibility of operating staff to ensure that the procedure is followed.
4.0 Materials and Equipment:
4.01 Brush/Scrubber
4.02 Mop
4.03 Isopropyl Alcohol (70%)
5.0 Procedure:
5.01 Remove all the packaging material from the labelling machine and surrounding area.
5.02 Remove the stereos from the over printing unit.
5.03 Clean all contact machine parts with a nylon brush.
5.04 Clean all the contact surfaces with a mop soaked in Isopropyl Alcohol (70%).
5.05 Let the equipment dry in air, cover it and put a label ‘Cleaned, Ready for Use’.
