SOP on Setting Blister Packing Operation of Blister Packing Machine

1.0 Purpose: This SOP describes the procedure for blister packing operation of blister packing machine.

2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff of the production department.

3.0 Responsibility:  It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to ensure that the procedure is followed.

4.0 Materials and Equipment: None 

5.01 The heater should be switched on and the thermostat setting adjusted to provide heating conditions predetermined for the particular blister packing.

5.02 The ink pot of over printing unit of the machine should be filled with ink up to requisite level.

5.03 The Channels of the machine should be cleaned and wiped with a cotton wool swab soaked in acetone. The channels are then covered. The channels should be fitted on machine only after the rollers have attained right temperature.

5.04 The pressure of compressed air should be regulated as per the requirement and the condensed water should be removed from the line regularly.
