SOP on Filling of Powder /Granules on Semiautomatic Powder Filling Machine

1.0 Purpose: This SOP describes the procedure for filling of powder on semiautomatic powder filling machine.

2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff of the production department.

3.0 Responsibility:  It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to ensure that the procedure is followed.

4.0 Materials and Equipment: None 

5.01 The drug hopper should be filled with the powder / granules.

5.02 Switch on the mains.

5.03 The speed of the filling machine should be adjusted to predetermined rate.

5.04 Switch on the machine and start filling the powder / granules in bottle.

5.05 Check the net weight of the powder / granules.

5.06 Continue to start filling the powder / granules in bottles and seal immediately.
