1.0 PURPOSE

The purpose of the standard operating procedure is to provide guidelines for calibration of AntibioticZone Reader (Projection Type)

2.0 SCOPE

The scope of this standard operating procedure includes calibration of Antibiotic Zone Reader (Projection Type)

3.3 Q.A. Manager

4.0 REQUIREMENTS

4.1 Calibrated Vernier Caliper

4.2 Calibrated coins of different diameters

  • Calibrated coin A (diameter-21.98 mm)
  • Calibrated coin B (diameter-24.92 mm)
  • Calibrated coin C (diameter-26.76 mm)

4.3 Antibiotic Zone Reader (Projection Type)

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 Calibration Procedure:

5.1.1 Check the power supply & on the Antibiotic Zone Reader

5.1.2 Adjust the light intensity of Antibiotic Zone Reader

5.1.3 Place the calibrated coin A at the centre of projection scale of Antibiotic Zone Reader.

5.1.4 Measure the projection Zone of Antibiotic Zone Reader in mm .Repeat it at least three times & take average & record it.

5.1.5 Place the Calibrated coin B at the centre of projection scale of Antibiotic Zone Reader.

5.1.6 Repeat the step 5.1.4 & record the diameter of projection scale using coin B in mm.

5.1.7 Place the Calibrated coin C at the centre of projection scale of Antibiotic Zone Reader .

5.1.8 Repeat the step 5.1.4 & record the diameter of projection scale using coin C in mm.
