SOP on Operation of Rotary Bottle Washing Machine
1.0 Purpose: This SOP describes the procedure for the operation of rotary bottle washing machine.
2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff of the production department.
3.0 Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the Production Chemist to ensure that the procedure is followed.
4.0 Materials and Equipment: None
5.0 Procedure:
5.01 Fill the respective tanks with purified water and hot purified water.
5.02 Switch On the machine by using the power switch to the “ON” position.
5.03 Receive the empty bottles in the washing area.
5.04 Place the empty bottles in an inverted position in the cup-shaped holders on the rotating platform of the bottle washing machine.
5.05 Bottles rotating on the platform are cleaned from the inside first with hot water and then with purified water.
5.06 Bottles rotating on the platform are cleaned from outside with purified water.
5.07 Washed and cleaned bottles are transferred to the liquid filling area through a conveyor belt.
5.08 Switch off the machine by using the power switch to the “OFF” position at the day end of the shift or whenever the machine is not in use for a longer period.
