SOP on Cleaning of Platform Balance

1.0 Purpose: This document describes the procedure for cleaning of Platform Balance.

2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff.

3.0 Responsibility: Quality Control, Production chemist to ensure that procedure is followed.

4.0 Materials and Equipment: 

 Lint free cloth

 Isopropyl Alcohol / water

 

5.0 Procedure: ( Frequency – Immediately after use or batch changeover)

5.01 Switch off the electric switch and remove the power pin from the socket.

5.02 Clean the material(s) spilled on the platform of balance with the help of a nylon brush.

5.03 When a liquid material spills over the weighing balance, first clean with a dry lint free cloth and then with wet mop soaked in isopropyl alcohol / water.

5.04 Clean the platform with wet lint free cloth followed by dry lint free cloth.
