SOP FOR CLEANING OF CHEMICAL LAB

1.0 OBJECTIVE

1.1 To lay down a standard procedure for cleaning of Chemical Lab.

2.0 SCOPE

2.1 This procedure is applicable for cleaning of Chemical Laboratory in Quality Control at Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Units.

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 The general cleaning of QC laboratory is carried out by the housekeeping department as per Doc.

5.2 The disinfectant schedule used is as per the Doc..

5.3 The General cleaning records is maintained by the housekeeping department, which is verified by the QC Manager.

5.4 Clean the reagent racks, reagent bottles weekly with dry lint free cloth.

5.5 Clean the workbench every day with wet cloth.

5.6 Clean the washbasins with plenty of water followed by disinfectant solutions.

5.7 Clean the instruments with dry lint free cloth.

5.8 Follow the Doc. in case of any accidental spillage in the laboratory.
