SOP on Cleaning of Batch Over printing Machine
1.0 Purpose: This document describes procedure for cleaning of Batch Overprinting Machine.
2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to operating staff.
3.0 Responsibility: Quality Control, Production chemist to ensure that procedure is followed.
4.0 Materials and Equipment:
Lint free cloth
Cleaning solution ( Thinner)
5.0 Procedure: (Frequency – Daily after use or batch changeover)
5.01 Switch off the electric switch and remove the power pins from the socket.
5.02 Remove all uncoded packing materials from batch overprinting machine.
5.03 Remove any extra overprinted or defective packing material from batch overprinting machine.
5.04 Return all the extra unused packing material to store.
5.05 Take out stereos from coding unit.
5.06 Clean stereos, coding unit, ink roller and ink stains with thinner.
5.07 Wipe off the batch overprinting machine with the help of lint free cloth soaked in thinner and squeezed.
5.08 Record the date, time, name of person responsible for cleaning in the cleaning log book.
