SOP on Ordering / Controlling Rubber Stereos
1.0 Purpose: This document describes procedure for ordering rubber stereos used in codification of strips / labels.
2.0 Scope: This SOP applies to Production staff.
3.0 Responsibility: Quality Control Chemist, Production chemist to ensure that procedure is followed.
4.0 Materials and Equipment: None
5.0 Procedure:
5.01 The drug batches are produced as per production plan and accordingly batch no., mfg. date, exp. date and any other information to be printed on strips / printed packing materials is finalized.
5.02 An order is placed for rubber stereos by the Production Manager to the approved supplier against a written request giving all the details required.
5.03 After receipt of stereos from the supplier, all the stereos are verified for correctness and if found O.K., they are stored under lock & key in the supervision of Production Chemist.
5.04 Stereos are issued to machine operator at the time of packaging that particular batch.
5.05 After completion of the packing of batch, all stereos are cleaned with thinner and returned by machine operator to the Production Chemist.
5.06 Quantity of returned stereos by machine operator is confirmed by Production Chemist and destroyed by cutting into pieces.
